Hello
guys! How's your day? Today's post will be so simple. I will share
with you about inclusions and endospores in the prokaryotes. So,
basically, inclusios have 7 types which is
- Metachromatic granules – food storage
- Lipid inclusions – polymer material storage
- Polysaccharide granules – food storage
- Sulphur granules – energy reserve
- Gas vacuoles – provide buoyancy
- Magnetosomes – prevent accumulation of hydrogen peroxide
- Carboxysomes – used for carbon fixation
Let's
move on to endospores! :) As we all known. Endospores that are
produced by the bacteria cannot be damaged easily even by using harsh
chemical. Some of it can be damaged by using radiation. For your
information, the endospores are germinated quickly as appropriate
trigger (harsh condition) is applied.
Endospores
characteristics :
- Formed internal to the bacterial cell membrane
- Highly resistant differentiated bacterial cell
- Endospores formations leads to a highly dehydrated structure with thick walls and additional layers.
- Able to endure extreme environmental conditions
- Contain essenntial macromolecules and a variety of substances absent from vegetative cells
ENDOSPORES
CAN BE STAINED BY USING SPECIAL DYE WHICH IS : MALACHITE GREEN
This is some bacteria with
endospores that can cause disease
;
- Bacillus anthracis
- Clostridium tetani
- Clostridium botulinum
- Clostridium perfringens

Clostridium
botulinum are
neurotoxins which can affect the brain!!
So
as for conclusions, I would like to thank Dr. Wan Zuhainis for
bringing 'rendang'
for us! The 'rendang'
is too delicious and it is not enough for our group hahahahaha. Thank
you so much Dr! :)
I
made this mind map by myself and I hope it may help you guys :D Bye!
